Frequently Asked Questions
How long does installation take?
Most residential projects are completed in just one day. Our specialized equipment allows us to mix, color, and extrude your custom curbing right on-site, ensuring a fast and efficient transformation of your landscape without a multi-day construction mess.
How long before I can walk on it?
You should keep pets, children, and lawn mowers away from the new curb for at least 24 hours. While the concrete will be "dry" to the touch relatively quickly, it takes nearly 28 days to fully cure. We recommend waiting a full week before power washing or performing heavy landscaping work near the new edges.
Will it crack?
Concrete is a rigid material and may experience small hairline cracks over time due to ground movement or Ohio's freeze-thaw cycles. To manage this, we place fiber mesh in our mix for added strength and cut control joints every few feet to "guide" the natural expansion and contraction, making any shifting nearly invisible.
What is the minimum footage?
Our typical minimum for a project is 100 linear feet. However, we encourage you to contact us for a free quote regardless of your project size, as we can often accommodate smaller areas if we are already working in your neighborhood.
Do you remove old edging?
Yes. We can remove existing plastic, wood, or metal edging before we begin the installation process. During your consultation, we will assess your current landscape to ensure the ground is properly prepared for a seamless concrete installation.
How often should it be resealed?
To keep your colors vibrant and protect the surface from the elements, we recommend resealing your decorative curbing every 2 to 3 years. This simple maintenance step prevents fading and keeps your "stamped" patterns looking like new.
